US President Donald Trump departed from Rome immediately after the completion of Pope Francis’s funeral at noon on Saturday (April 26, 2025). Trump was spotted as he climbed the stairs of his aircraft to board Air Force One at Rome’s Fiumicino Airport. Once again, Trump sparked numerous comments by breaking the ceremony protocol, choosing to wear a blue suit instead of the required black attire for the occasion. Prior to the start of the funeral service inside St. Peter’s Basilica, discussions regarding Russia-Ukraine peace talks were also mentioned.
