Former U.S. President Donald Trump said he is seriously considering ordering large-scale military operations against Iran—potentially more extensive than previous American strikes. In an interview with Axios, Trump emphasized that he has not yet made a final decision on launching an attack but clarified that all options remain on the table.
‘Considering a Massive Attack’
“I’m considering a massive attack. Bigger than ever. I’m very close to making a decision. We are absolutely ready for it,” Trump stated.
Meanwhile, two U.S. officials told reporters that no formal decision has been made and no new orders have been issued to the U.S. Armed Forces.
Israel’s Role and Risks
Trump also addressed Israel’s potential involvement, saying the country “would join within two minutes if I asked.” However, he stressed that the U.S. could carry out such an operation independently, without support from other nations.
At the same time, he warned that Israeli participation could trigger Iranian retaliation—and that such a scenario would bring “consequences,” though he did not specify what those might be.
Rising tensions in the Middle East have already affected global markets. Oil prices have surged past $100 per barrel, and the prospect of renewed military conflict is fueling concern both internationally and across the United States.
