Trump Calls for Immediate Zelenskyy-Putin Meeting in Constantinople

Donald Trump once again surprises with a post on Truth Social, urging Volodymyr Zelenskyy to meet immediately with Russian President Vladimir Putin in Constantinople, Turkey. In his post, Trump claims that Putin does not want a ceasefire agreement with Ukraine but is willing to meet on Thursday in Turkey to negotiate an end to the bloodshed. He insists that Ukraine should agree to this meeting without delay. Trump continues by stating that at least both parties will be able to determine if an agreement is possible. If not, European leaders and the U.S. will know where they stand and can proceed accordingly. Trump also expresses doubts about Ukraine’s willingness to make a deal with Putin, who is currently preoccupied with celebrating Victory Day of WWII, which, according to Trump, could not have been won without the United States. Trump concludes by demanding the meeting happens now.
