Kabul-Trump blast: A tragedy that should never have happened

Former United States President Donald Trump, highly critical of Joe Biden’s successor’s decisions on Afghanistan, has condemned a tragedy that “should never have happened” after an attack near Kabul airport that killed 12 American soldiers and dozens more. Afghan civilians, including women and children.

“This tragedy should never have happened, which makes our grief even deeper and more difficult to understand,” the Republican mogul said in a statement.

He and his wife, Melania Trump, expressed their condolences “to the families of the innocent civilians killed today in the barbaric attack in Kabul,” which also wounded 15 American soldiers.
