Tricala: Son Passed Away First, Then His Elderly Mother – Neighbors Reveal Heartbreaking Details

The local community in the village of Georganades is deeply shocked after the discovery of an 83-year-old woman and her 55-year-old son dead inside their home on Saturday afternoon (June 7, 2025). A relative became concerned after being unable to contact them and decided to visit. The elderly mother lived together with her two other children, facing numerous health issues. Reports indicate that the son died first from heart problems, followed by his mother. A neighbor told newsit.gr: “This family had many health challenges. The mother was over 80 years old and clearly lacked proper care. Both the mayor and the entire village attempted to provide assistance through welfare services, but the family refused help.” The neighbor added, “We don’t know exactly what happened; the house’s hygiene conditions were deplorable. They may have been deceased for several days. When the mayor visited five days ago to offer assistance, they declined. It seems the other two children were inside the house, watching them.”
