The contribution of NGOS in dealing with the crisis is undoubtedly very important. To address the humanitarian crisis and the problems of living of the refugees and immigrants who come to Europe, has recently decided to provide the sum of eur 700 million within the next three years. These funds will be given not in the Greek or any other government or governmental agency, but in Non-Governmental Organisations.
Because of the role they are to perform is crucial and has a direct relationship with the lives and health of refugees but also because the allocation of 700 million euro will be allocated to NGOS is big, will the Commissioner:
a) which process is selected NGOS, and what are the terms and conditions of the funding?
(b) As have been expressed many times complaints of bad functioning of the NGOS and presented phenomena funding of NGOS facing legal adventures for previous funding, what is the process of control and surveillance, which will ensure that they fulfil the conditions, that they perform their mission in accordance with the plan of the Union and that the management of the amounts you will receive will be of sound
The role of NGOS in addressing the humanitarian crisis is crucial. In Greece have already been installed, crews from several NGOS from across Europe, with a view to the protection of the health and decent living of the refugees have settled, temporarily at least, in Greece. (a) The institutional framework of the Transparency Register, as a successor to the Register of NGOS, gives potential for, or sufficient for the evaluation of the effectiveness and transparency of registered NGO?
b) is There a procedure for the evaluation of the efficiency, effectiveness and transparency of NGOS, on the basis of which it is decided who will undertake which parts of the titanium of this project and how you utilize the funds?
