Tragic Toll: Israel-Iran War Leaves at Least 638 Dead and 8,000 Injured

The human cost of the conflict between Israel and Iran has been devastating. The war, which began on June 13, 2025, lasted for 12 days until a ceasefire brokered by former U.S. President Donald Trump was implemented on June 24, 2025. Israeli medical authorities reported that 28 people were killed and over 3,000 injured from Iranian attacks during the conflict. Meanwhile, according to Iran’s Ministry of Health, the war claimed the lives of at least 610 individuals with more than 4,700 injured. The Israeli emergency service Magen David Adom confirmed 28 fatalities, including four on the morning of June 24, while treating 17 critically wounded individuals. The Israeli Ministry of Health stated that a total of 3,238 people were treated during the 12-day war. Iran launched approximately 550 ballistic missiles and 1,000 drones against Israel, most of which were intercepted by the Israeli Defense Forces. At least 31 missile strikes hit populated areas, and only one drone struck a house. Additionally, more than 9,000 people have been displaced due to damages to their homes.
