Tragic Road Accident in Laconia: 62-Year-Old Fatally Dragged by Car – 23-Year-Old Driver Arrested

A tragic accident unfolded on Thursday (29.05.25) in Laconia, resulting in the death of a 62-year-old woman. The incident occurred at around 5:30 AM when a 23-year-old driver, traveling from Skala Lakonias towards Sparta, lost control of her vehicle under currently unknown circumstances. According to ERT, the car collided with a pedestrian railing and dragged the 62-year-old woman. The victim was transported with severe injuries to the Vlahiotis Health Center and later to Molaoi General Hospital, where she eventually succumbed to her wounds. The 23-year-old driver has been arrested, and an investigation into the causes of the accident is ongoing.
