Tragic Crash in Peristeri: Taxi Driver Dead on Thebes Avenue – Three Injured

A tragic accident occurred early Sunday morning (March 16, 2025) in Peristeri, resulting in the death of a taxi driver and serious injuries to three others. The crash happened at the intersection of Thebes Avenue and Panagi Tsaldari Street under unclear circumstances. A taxi collided with another vehicle, causing the taxi driver to lose his life, while the driver of the other car suffered severe injuries. Ten firefighters responded using two vehicles to the scene, where they had to extricate two additional victims trapped inside their cars. These individuals were then transported by ambulance to Gennimatas Hospital and Evangelismos Hospital. Later that night, another fatal accident was reported in Piraeus, claiming the life of a 24-year-old motorcyclist.
