Tragic Car Fire Claims Driver’s Life in Aspropyrgos Easter Sunday Accident

A tragic incident unfolded on Easter Sunday evening (20.04.25) in Aspropyrgos, Attica, resulting in the death of a car driver who was found charred inside his vehicle after a collision. The accident occurred around 19:30 at the intersection of Chiou and Agiou Georgiou streets when two cars collided under currently unknown circumstances. One of the vehicles caught fire, leading to the tragic death of its driver. The driver of the other vehicle sustained minor injuries and managed to exit the car on their own, while the passenger required intervention from the fire department. A total of 12 firefighters with four vehicles responded to extinguish the flames and recover the driver’s body. An investigation is underway to determine the causes of the fatal accident.
