Tragic Car Accident in Thessaloniki Leaves One Woman Dead and One Seriously Injured

A tragic car accident occurred on Friday evening, March 21, 2025, in the Langada area of Thessaloniki. According to local reports, the accident happened around 8:30 PM when a vehicle driven by a 50-year-old woman collided with another car driven by a 60-year-old man at the 1st kilometer mark on the Langada-Kolchikou road. The collision resulted in the fatal injury of the woman, while the male driver sustained serious injuries. Fire services were called to the scene with six personnel and two vehicles as the victim’s car was reduced to a mangled mass of metal. The seriously injured man was transported to the ‘AHEPA’ hospital via an EKAB ambulance. Local residents have criticized the location of the accident, labeling it a ‘deadly turn,’ where fatal accidents are frequently recorded each year.
