Tragic Accident in Preveza Claims Life of 16-Year-Old Boy

A tragic road accident has once again stained the asphalt with blood, adding to the growing list of traffic incidents in our country. The incident occurred at the 2nd kilometer of the provincial road connecting Nea Sampsounta and Nea Sinopi in Preveza on Monday afternoon (May 12, 2025). A 16-year-old motorcyclist lost control of his vehicle and collided with a truck driven by a 47-year-old man. As a result of the collision, the young rider sustained severe injuries. Emergency services rushed to the scene, and an EKAB ambulance transported the victim to the hospital in Preveza. Despite the heroic efforts of doctors and rescue teams, the teenager tragically succumbed to his injuries. Local media reports suggest that the 16-year-old lost control of his motorcycle during a tight turn on the provincial road, which is considered quite dangerous. The Traffic Department of Preveza is currently investigating the causes of the accident.
