A tragic accident occurred at around 9 a.m. on Saturday, April 26, 2025, in Levadia, Arkadia. Reports indicate that the incident happened when a 70-year-old woman drove her car into Levadia Square in the wrong direction, as entry to the square is supposed to be circular, not direct. The unfortunate driver accelerated to approximately 70 km/h for an unknown reason and lost control of the vehicle. Her car collided with a parked agricultural vehicle outside a pharmacy. The elderly female passenger in the car was pronounced dead upon extraction from the vehicle. The force of the collision caused the agricultural vehicle to crash through the pharmacy’s window. Security cameras captured shocking footage of the moment the car plowed into the agricultural vehicle. The unfortunate driver was transported to the Panarkadiko Hospital in Tripoli but succumbed to her injuries despite the doctors’ efforts. There was nearly a second fatality as the pharmacy owner was standing just outside his store during the collision.
