Tragedy on Poseidonos Avenue: Two Dead in Cable Car Accident

The tragedy occurred Tuesday evening (June 3) when the cable car inexplicably veered off its track. The accident happened at the intersection of Poseidonos and Zisimopoulou streets in Paleo Faliro, heading towards Piraeus at 9:17 PM. Two individuals who were on the cable car were transported to G. Gennimatas Hospital. Shortly afterward, their deaths were confirmed. It remains unclear whether the cable car had gained excessive speed or if the driver lost control due to another reason. The Railway Department is investigating the causes of the accident, which claimed the lives of two people.
