Tragedy in Zakynthos: 2-Year-Old Drowns in Villa Pool

A tragic incident occurred on Sunday, April 13, 2025, in the Tsilivi area of Zakynthos, where a young child was found deceased in a villa pool. According to ERT reports, the 2-year-old child from Bangladesh was on vacation with his mother, two aunts, and grandparents. The unfortunate event happened under unclear circumstances when the toddler was discovered in the villa’s pool while the rest of the family was inside preparing for a meal. When the mother began searching for him and received no response, the entire family joined the search. Emergency services arrived promptly, administering first aid before transferring the child to the hospital, where he was pronounced dead. Authorities are currently investigating the exact circumstances surrounding the incident.
