A 70-year-old Greek tourist was found dead in his hotel room in Antalya, Turkey — the third tourist fatality reported in the resort city within just a few days. According to Turkish media reports, the man, identified only by the initials P.S., arrived in Antalya on 21 June as part of an organized tour group and was staying at a hotel in the Altıntaş district, on Gülük Street, on the building’s second floor.

On the morning of his scheduled departure, around 8:30 a.m., tour agency staff were unable to contact him. They immediately alerted hotel management, and staff entered his room. There, they discovered the man unconscious and promptly called emergency services (112). Rescue personnel arrived on scene and confirmed his death.

The municipal doctor dispatched to the hotel deemed the death suspicious, prompting an official investigation. Police officers, a crime scene unit, a public prosecutor, and homicide department officials all responded to the location. Initial examination reportedly revealed no signs of physical assault, stab wounds, or bruising on the man’s body.

Early indications suggest the man had been suffering from severe breathing difficulties. The exact cause of death is pending results from a forensic autopsy to be conducted at Antalya’s Forensic Medicine Institute.

The case has drawn attention amid two other recent tourist deaths in Antalya: a Polish tourist in Kemer and a Russian tourist in Muratpaşa — both occurring in the past several days.
