Tragedy in Samos: 20-Year-Old Turkish Man Dies at Karlovassi Waterfalls

A tragic incident occurred in Samos as a 20-year-old Turkish man lost his life at the Karlovassi waterfalls. According to local reports from samosvoice.gr, the young man was visiting the area with a friend for a swim and exploration of the region. For reasons yet unknown, the 20-year-old lost consciousness while swimming. His companion rushed to a nearby store to seek help. The shop owners quickly descended to the waterfalls and managed to pull the unconscious youth out of the water after a strenuous effort. Unfortunately, it was too late as he had been submerged underwater for over 15 minutes. The 20-year-old was transported by EKAB ambulance to the island’s hospital for an autopsy that will determine the exact cause of death.
