A tragic incident occurred in central Athens on Thursday afternoon, March 5, 2026, when a French teenage student died after falling from a height. According to initial reports, the student was in Athens as part of a school trip and was staying in the Omonia area, on Solonos Street.

Under circumstances still unknown, the teenager fell from the balcony of the third floor of the hotel where he was accommodated.
Emergency Response and Hospital Transfer
Emergency responders from EKAB — Greece’s national emergency medical service — arrived promptly at the scene and transported the unconscious teen to Agia Sofia Children’s Hospital. There, his death was officially confirmed.
