Long-term traffic restrictions will be in effect on the Athens–Thessaloniki National Road starting tomorrow, Tuesday, March 10, to facilitate asphalt repair works. The measures will apply from 7:00 a.m. on March 10 until 7:00 p.m. on Monday, March 23, 2026, on the Athens-bound carriageway between kilometre 162.5 and kilometre 159.4.
Two-Phase Lane Adjustments
In the first phase, the left lane will be closed, with all traffic redirected to the right lane. In the second phase, the right lane and the Emergency Lane (E.L.) will be closed, and traffic will be routed through the left lane.
Working Hours
Works will take place Monday through Friday from 7:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m., and on Saturdays from 7:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Should the works be completed ahead of schedule, normal traffic flow will be restored earlier than planned.
Safety and Information Measures
Néa Odós S.A., the operator of the motorway, has implemented all necessary safety and driver assistance measures. Temporary signage will be installed along the route to ensure drivers are fully informed. Néa Odós thanks the public for their understanding and urges all road users to strictly follow the posted instructions.
