Weekend travelers faced significant delays on two major national highways — the Corinth–Athens and Lamia–Athens routes — late Sunday afternoon (12 July 2026). Heavy return traffic created congestion, with particularly slow movement observed on the Corinth–Athens highway between Agioi Theodoroi and Nea Peramos.
Delays were also reported at the Eleusis toll station. Intermittent bottlenecks occurred on the Lamia–Athens highway near Kryoneri, where a road accident earlier in the afternoon further disrupted flow.
Additional difficulties were reported on the Attiki Odos motorway between Paiania and Pallini, in the direction toward the national highway.
