Tourist Falls from Great Height, Impaled on Fencing in Front of Dozens

A shocking incident occurred recently when a man lost his balance and fell from a great height, landing impaled on fencing below. The American tourist approached a restricted area of the Colosseum to get a better view of the monument. For unclear reasons, he slipped, fell, and landed on the fencing, lying there bleeding heavily and screaming in pain as he waited for help. Unfortunately, dozens of onlookers witnessed the horrifying accident, according to Italian newspaper ‘Il Messaggero.’ The man attempted to free himself from the fencing but quickly lost consciousness due to the pain and uncontrollable bleeding. Thanks to the swift action of other tourists who called for help, rescuers arrived in time to begin efforts to free him. After 20 minutes, the tourist was finally freed, as his injuries were severe. Doctors administered sedatives to calm him before transferring him to the hospital where he underwent surgery and received over 80 stitches. Thankfully, the patient is now out of danger but remains under close observation.
