Total reversal: The 2016 ended with a recession – Elements – SHOCK of the ELSTAT

The official data of the hellenic statistical authority, tearing down the success story that he wants to pass on the basis of the… Alexis Tsipras – Aggravation presented by the course of GDP in the fourth quarter of 2016, as is clear from the provisional data of the Hellenic Statistical Authority (ELSTAT).
In particular, according to ELSTAT, the GDP of the Greek economy shrank by 1.1% in the fourth quarter of 2016, compared with growth of 0.3% which had been announced in the first estimate of the 4th quarter.
That is, the Greek economy experienced a recession of 1.1% compared to the d quarter of 2015 and a decline of 1.2% compared to the third quarter of 2016, despite the fact that the preliminary estimates of the NSSG’s talking about growth of 0.3% and a decline of 0.4%, respectively.
On the basis of the available seasonally adjusted data, the Gross Domestic Product (GDP) in volume terms, during the 4th quarter of 2016, decreased by 1.2% compared with the 3rd quarter of 2016, versus a reduction of 0.4% which had been announced in the first estimate of the 4th quarter on 14/02/17.
According to ELSTAT, the differences are a result of the integration of data that was not available during the first assessment. These data are either monthly or quarterly.
It should be noted that the GDP in the previous quarters has been revised mainly due to updated data of General Government.
Based on the above revisions, finally in 2016, closed with a marginally negative sign (0,05%) instead of the previous estimate for positive performance of 0.3%.
Despite the evidence of ELSTAT, which clearly show a recession, mr Tsipras tried today 6/03/2017 in the cabinet to present a different image of Greece, that supposedly is the place, turning the page.
As shown by the statements of mr Tsipras, the objective was to emit an optimistic message for the future of the country and the economy, bringing together government and party in a new, radical basis. Message recipients and the Institutions for the promiscuity of the requirements of the IMF and the voicelessness of the Europeans.
Reference was made to the creation of at least 300, 000 jobs over the next three years ($100,000 per year), with loan financing from the World Bank. The request has already been submitted to the World Bank and bring the agreement of the Commission.
However, Tsipras has decided to baptize the meat, fish in order to lock the 153 government members who are required to pass the preventive measures from the House.
