On Monday, June 30th, the art-filled evening marked the inauguration of the photography exhibition ‘Toposēma Diasyndeseōs’ (Landmarks of Connection) at the iconic venue of the Former Public Tobacco Factory. Hosted from July 1st to July 20th, this artistic showcase offers visitors a fresh perspective on familiar urban destinations created by LAMDA Development — such as shopping centers, marinas, and The Ellinikon — places that have become integral parts of modern city life.

The exhibition’s aim is to narrate how these locations evolve into breathing spaces, personal sanctuaries, and shared experiences for people. For the first time, seven acclaimed Greek photographers — Dionysis Andrianopoulos, Giorgos Gerolymbos, Efi Gousi, Pygmalion Karatzas, Nikos Kontostavlakis, Mariana Bisti, and Ria Mort — simultaneously captured the same theme, drawing inspiration from these urban landmarks and portraying them through their lenses as points of connection, experience, and interaction.

The result is a compelling collection of 70 photographs that tell deeply human stories. This exhibition serves as a visual narrative of the special collector’s edition publication titled ‘LAMDA Development Universe,’ unveiled on the opening night. The book reflects a vision of a new relationship with the urban landscape and our daily interactions within it.

Curated by journalist Fotis Tsimelas, the exhibition was inaugurated by the President of the Hellenic Parliament, Mr. Nikitas Kaklamanis, who praised the cultural initiative, calling it an open invitation from art and culture to society and humanity. Also in attendance were Deputy Regional Governor of Attica Ms. Christina Kefalogianni, along with prominent figures from the arts, academia, business, and media.

In her speech, LAMDA Development’s Chief Marketing & Communications Officer, Ms. Sissy Iliopoulou, emphasized the company’s belief that cities are living organisms — canvases of human interaction and shared dreams. She described the exhibition as more than just an artistic project; it is an invitation to see the city differently.

Art critic Takis Mavrotas, who wrote the preface for the exhibition, highlighted its aesthetic excellence and its effort to reconcile dream with reality, noting that the photographers’ work captures memories across space and time while leaving imagination free to roam.

From sweeping vistas to intricate details, and from documenting everyday life in the urban environment to capturing human connections within it, the photographs of ‘Toposēma Diasyndeseōs’ invite viewers to rediscover the simple moments that connect us to others and to the world around us. The exhibition is made possible through the generous donation of the venue by the President of the Hellenic Parliament, Mr. Nikitas Kaklamanis.
