in

Clear weather is expected tomorrow, Friday (09.05.2025), across most of Greece, with local showers in Macedonia, Epirus, the Dodecanese, and Thessaly, along with the transport of African dust mainly affecting Attica and Crete. According to the Hellenic National Meteorological Service (EMY) forecast, initially over the Ionian Sea, Epirus, and western Sterea Ellada, then quickly spreading to central and northern mainland areas, increased cloudiness is predicted with local showers or downpours and scattered thunderstorms from the afternoon onwards. Overnight, these phenomena may extend locally to the northern Aegean, while conditions will improve in the previously mentioned areas excluding Macedonia and Thrace. Meteorological conditions favor the transport of African dust towards the south. Winds will blow from eastern directions at 3 to 5 Beaufort, locally reaching 6 Beaufort in the south. In the west, winds will shift to northwesterly 4 to 6 Beaufort by the afternoon. Despite a slight drop in temperatures in the north, high levels for this season will persist nationwide, reaching 25-26°C in the north, 28-30°C elsewhere, and locally up to 32°C in northern Crete.
