TikTok: “Art” characterizes the White House’s threat of immediate shutdown in the US

The White House described Saturday (18.01.2020) as “artwork” its threat of interrupting its operation in the US on Sunday, January 19, on the eve of its inauguration as 47th president of the US. “We saw TikTok’s recent announcement. This is a ruse and we see no reason for TikTok or other companies to take steps in the next days before Donald Trump’s government took office on Monday (20.01.20205),” White House spokesman Karin Jean-Pierre said Saturday. “We have expressed our position clearly and directly: actions to implement this law will be borne by the next government. Therefore, TikTok and other companies should transfer their issues to it.”
