Three minors, members of a gang involved in multiple store robberies in the Byron area, have been arrested. According to ELAS (Greek Police), the three 17-year-olds were apprehended by officers from the DIAS team on Thursday afternoon (May 28, 2025). They are accused of forming a gang responsible for thefts, violations of gun laws, and vandalism. Since March 2025, they targeted clothing stores, using disguises like hoods and threatening employees with knives and, in one instance, a replica pistol. Operating mainly during late-night and early-morning hours to avoid crowds, they wore specific outfits during their crimes. Evidence seized includes a replica gun, a kitchen knife, two hoods, ‘operational’ clothing used during the robberies, and four mobile phones. So far, five cases of store robberies and thefts have been traced in the Byron area. The suspects have been handed over to the relevant prosecuting authority.
