Three-hour Taxi Strike Tomorrow at «Eleftherios Venizelos» Airport

A three-hour strike is expected to take place tomorrow, Thursday (15.05.25), at the «Eleftherios Venizelos» airport by taxi drivers. The work stoppage will last from 12 noon on Thursday until 3 PM. According to an announcement by SATA, taxi drivers are staging the strike in protest against the illegal operation of Uber’s pick-up point near the official taxi rank. “We demand equality and humane working conditions. Our positions are clear and non-negotiable. We do not concede transportation services that belong to taxis, nor do we negotiate our professional integrity. The SATA board, faithful to the values it represents, will exhaust every possibility of dialogue with Deputy Transport Minister Kyranakis. If this does not succeed, the industry will be forced to escalate its actions,” the SATA statement emphasized.
