Three Arrests for Vandalism at a School in Iliou – Far-Right Graffiti

Three individuals, including a minor, were arrested yesterday afternoon (04.05.2025) in Iliou after vandalizing a school with spray-painted far-right slogans associated with Golden Dawn. The Special Action Police (DIAS) officers identified the suspects, aged 16, 20, and 21, as they were in the process of defacing the walls of a school compound. According to an ELAS announcement, the suspects were apprehended on the scene during midday hours on May 4, 2025. They are accused of vandalism by conspiracy, dishonesty, and violating weapons legislation. Among the items seized from their possession were an air pistol, three canisters of compressed air, a metal pellet loader, gloves, a hat, a full-face mask, a flag with a Celtic cross, Golden Dawn stickers, and spray paint. The detained individuals have been transferred to the competent prosecutor following documentation by the Iliou Crime Detection and Pursuit Department.
