The custody battle between Thodoris Marantinis and Cissy Christodoulou continues to escalate as both parents appeared at the First Instance Court of Athens, continuing their legal dispute. The couple, who separated in 2019, had a private agreement regarding child custody which requires an official court decision to be enforceable. Immediately after the trial, Marantinis’ lawyer, Foivos Stroungaris, spoke to reporters. He emphasized that the court will meet with the children on a specific date and place to ask them questions, allowing them to express their feelings and preferences. The lawyer highlighted that Marantinis is not just seeking fun times with his kids but acknowledges the responsibilities and duties that come with fatherhood. Marantinis is requesting sole custody of their 16-year-old son and joint custody of their 12-year-old. The court president will hear from the children on Friday, April 4th.
