Thessaloniki: They Hid a Full Arsenal in Their Homes – From Crossbows and Spears to Carbines

Two men, aged 62 and 30, turned their homes in the Chalastra area of Thessaloniki into weapon and ammunition storage facilities. The individuals were arrested for illegally possessing various types of firearms and weapons at their residences. Additionally, a 61-year-old was implicated in a criminal case concerning violations of Greek laws on weapons and narcotics.

Specifically, following raids conducted by police officers early Wednesday morning (02.07.2025), authorities discovered and confiscated an extensive arsenal, including:
– 2 revolvers
– 2 pistols
– 2 sound pistols
– 5 air guns and rifles
– 13 hunting weapons
– 1 carbine
– Hunting gun barrels
– 1 metallic crossbow with sight and three arrows
– 5 swords
– 15 knives of various types
– 2 homemade spears
– Numerous magazines and gas cartridges
– 430 cartridges for firearms and sound pistols
– Over 4,750 pellets for air guns and metal projectiles
– 1 vehicle transceiver
– 1 cigarette pack containing a small amount of cannabis
– €83,015.50 in cash

The suspects will be presented before the competent prosecutor with formal charges filed against them.
