Thessaloniki: ‘They Broke Into the Car and Threw Punches While the Child Cried,’ Says Wife of Assaulted Doctor

A 36-year-old doctor and his family remain in a state of shock after being victims of a brutal attack by four men at a red light in Thessaloniki. The harrowing incident, where the victim was assaulted inside his car with his child present, has been recounted by the doctor’s wife on Live News. “My son, who is three years old, wakes up crying every hour since Monday when the incident occurred,” she said. “He hasn’t eaten properly in two days, he’s lethargic, and refuses to play. Today, I didn’t send him to school because he woke up sweating and saying he was afraid the bad people would come.” According to her account, the doctor was driving below the speed limit due to the presence of his child in the vehicle, heading to a pediatric station. Another car became upset after the doctor stopped at an orange light, leading to the violent confrontation. Four men exited their vehicle, smashed the driver’s side mirror, and eventually broke into the car. They proceeded to physically assault the doctor inside the car while his terrified child was seated directly behind him, screaming for his father.
