Thessaloniki: The trial for the murder of the 41-year-old pregnant woman begins – “They are adamant” her father breaks out

The brutal murder was committed on New Year’s Day 2024 in the apartment of the 39-year-old companion of the 41-year-old woman in Thessaloniki and specifically in Kalamaria. For her murder the woman’s 39-year-old partner, who was in her 7th week of pregnancy, and his 34-year-old friend were arrested. The 41-year-old’s body brought three deadly knife wounds to the cervical country and neck. The two men allegedly placed the inanimate body of the 41-year-old in a trunk and carried it to the point where it was spotted a week later, according to the suggestion of her partner who confessed to his involvement. Before the crime was revealed, the 39-year-old was trying to disoriented the investigations, as he was sending messages to his cell phone with a dispatcher, supposedly, the 41-year-old woman to make it look like he disappeared. The motive of the two men seems to have been to rob the woman. After his arrest the 39-year-old denied that the crime committed himself, indicating as a perpetrator his 34-year-old friend, while his friend pointed out as the perpetrator the 39-year-old. Stratos Muratis, the father of the 41-year-old, who today will be in court, speaks in newsit.gr and shocks: “Last night Georgia had its birthday and in memory of today’s court we ask for justice. And most importantly, they finally pay at the highest price. They’re cowards, because if they wore pants they wouldn’t catch doing what they did to a little girl, they’d try to do it to someone with a corresponding muscle force. What they did is an insult to the male race.” And he continues: “Things are very difficult. With my granddaughter, Georgia’s daughter, we cry, we laugh, we have sunshine and a cloud and a lot of rain. A kid lost his mother. And this thing is too much. We’ve always had women’s deaths, we’ve had recently in Agrinio. And these crimes that were based? That they were men and that they were women. It’s unfair to lose these women. They say time is a doctor. But it’s not like that. Pain grows as time passes. But hate for those who took your child’s life is getting even bigger. The court must make the right decision and condemn them as appropriate, in case our next children are saved.” The lawyer of the family of 41-year-old Georgia, Ariadne Nuka, points out in newsit.gr: “The two defendants, who put on each other the burden of committing the brutal murder of late Georgia Muratis and tried to build a profile with serious psychiatric problems failed to convince either the Prosecutor or the Judicial Officers of the Council of Defects, who, among other things, assessed revealing evidence and all psychiatric experts, decided to refer them to commit the crimes of manslaughter jointly by intention, termination of pregnancy and robbery by judging, that they had the ability to perceive the injustice of their actions, acting in a calm mental state, on the basis of an organized plan and premeditated and in a manner involving particular tension and hatred.
