Thessaloniki: Prosecution of 19-Year-Old for Rape of 15-Year-Old Girl Inside Car

A 19-year-old has been charged with a felony-level offense following the alleged rape of a 15-year-old girl in Thessaloniki early Sunday morning (June 19, 2025). The prosecutor filed charges against the young man, who was referred to the first regular investigator in Thessaloniki. He requested and received a 48-hour extension before his interrogation and remains in custody. According to reports, the incident occurred inside a car in the Thermi area after the two had gone out together. The accused was arrested within 24 hours of the incident but denies the allegations.
