His detention stems from serious criminal allegations filed by his former partner—a 51-year-old woman who uses a wheelchair—accusing him of rape, illegal video recording, threats, and verbal abuse.
Allegations of Sexual Violence and Coercion
According to judicial sources, the woman reported that over the course of one month—during a period when the two were cohabiting—the officer allegedly forced her into non-consensual sexual acts on four separate occasions. She further stated that he recorded her without consent during their time together and subjected her to intimidation and insults.
Legal Proceedings Underway
The officer was arrested on the spot and referred for trial before the Thessaloniki Single-Member Misdemeanor Court on charges related to disturbing domestic peace and intrafamily threats—offenses classified as misdemeanors under Greek law. These charges stem from incidents alleged to have occurred within the previous 24 hours prior to his arrest.
