Thessaloniki: No Taxis on Clean Monday Due to 24-Hour Strike

Residents and visitors in Thessaloniki will be without taxis on Clean Monday, April 14, due to a 24-hour strike by taxi drivers. The strike will last from 5 a.m. on Clean Monday until 5 a.m. on Clean Tuesday, April 15. According to an announcement from the Thessaloniki Taxi Union, taxi owners are protesting against parking charges at the ‘Macedonia’ airport. They also oppose what they describe as the ‘theft of transport work by private individuals,’ demanding immediate solutions to these issues.
