A 22-year-old individual has been arrested in Thessaloniki, accused of throwing two Molotov cocktails at a barber shop alongside another person. The attack occurred on Wednesday morning (18.06.25), with the police attributing the motives of the 22-year-old Albanian suspect to personal disputes he allegedly had with the shop owner located in Eosmos. During a search of the suspect’s home conducted in the presence of a judicial officer, clothing, footwear worn during the crime, a screwdriver used to break the shop’s glass door through which the Molotovs were thrown, and pieces of cloth for constructing the improvised devices were seized, as stated in a police announcement. Charges have been filed against the 22-year-old for attempted arson, leading him to the prosecutor’s office.
