The entire Thessaloniki metro line was out of service for 40 minutes on Saturday afternoon (June 21) due to a technical issue. According to the official website of the Thessaloniki Metro, both tracks were temporarily closed because of the problem. The announcement stated, “Line out of service. Due to a technical issue, the line is temporarily closed.” Reports suggest that the issue stemmed from a central system failure. Shortly before 15:00, the problem was resolved, and services resumed their normal schedule. As of now, the exact cause of the technical issue has not been disclosed.
