The Three-member Law Court of Thessaloniki found him guilty of manslaughter by negligence and physical harm by negligence (submissive and serial), with the recognition of his extenuating earlier legal life. According to the case-file, the car accident occurred on the National Road of Thessaloniki – Moudanion, in the current to Halkidiki, while the 51-year-old accused is attributed that he violated a stop signal before entering the highway, resulting in the vehicle driven by the 65-year-old and moving on the right side of the road being “carked” onto the school bus. “I stopped at the stop to check and didn’t see the deceased moving to the LEA. I just got out on the right side of the road. I saw him from my mirror coming and hitting us. I didn’t see that coming, LEA was empty. From the moment I saw the car coming at us I made as far right as I could,” said the accused school driver in his apology and added: “I think something happened (p. 65), lost control and fell on the bus. The bus is six meters, didn’t he see it? I had very low speed, 5-10km/h”. His guilt had previously also been claimed by the bench prosecutor who among other things stressed that the defendant should have increased attention, for carrying minors and being a professional driver.
