With a wild party at which electronic music had its honor or celebrated its entrance . In a special and very different – in relation to previous years – way, Thessaloniki welcomed in 2025. Thousands of people flooded the city’s main roads, with the focus of events being this year in the White Tower, which was …or else. ADVERSE Top artists of the electronic scene from Greece and abroad gave rhythm to the evening, dragging the youth—and not only, into unstoppable dance, while just before the arrival of the new year, the symbol of the city, the White Tower, was “transformed”. Light bands from robotic heads filled the city sky and on their move sent the message of the new year. “This is Thessaloniki we like. This is the city we want. A city optimistic, a city full of smiles, a city alive, a city full of buzz, a city with confidence, a city for everyone. This is the city we claim,” the mayor Stelios Angeloudis stressed from the stage of the event, just before giving the signal of the countdown. The explosive party began at 8 pm and ended about three hours after midnight, while the memorable experience to techno, electro and house music lovers was offered by Miss Kittin and Roi Perez, two top names of the international electronic music scene, along with: Mironas, ISON, Thomas Numan and Kate de Sons. CORVERSE It is typical that the crowd of the world had closed the coastal highway up to the port and Metropolis Street, while on part parties were set up on other streets of the city center. The exclusive sponsor of the event at the White Tower was Protergia, and had the support of the Museum of Byzantine Culture and the Antiquities Institute of Thessaloniki. In fact, with the assistance of the Thessaloniki Tourism Organization, the event was also promoted to neighbouring countries, with the aim of attracting additional visitors and strengthening the modern cultural and youth identity of the city.
