A happy ending followed a serious incident involving a four-year-old boy from Serbia who suffered cardiac arrest at the New Vrasna beach in the Volvi municipality. According to reports, the child experienced an epileptic seizure while in the sea, leading to water filling his lungs and causing cardiac arrest. Fortunately, a doctor, a compatriot of the child’s family, was present and immediately began CPR, as described by Volvi rescue volunteer member Christos Taliakas on Voria.gr. Other rescuers quickly arrived on the scene within minutes, and with everyone’s help, the boy was revived. He was then stabilized and given oxygen while the rescuers remained in constant contact with the EKAB (Emergency Medical Care) doctor. An ambulance was soon on-site and transported the child to the New Madita Health Center.
