A fire broke out shortly after 3:30 PM today (February 5, 2026) in a third-floor apartment in Kalamaria, Thessaloniki, following an explosion. Emergency responders from the Hellenic Fire Service—eight firefighters with three vehicles—immediately rushed to the scene on Aristeidou Street. Firefighters contained the blaze to the kitchen area and brought the incident under control.
