Thessaloniki: Burglar Breaks Into Businesses Silently to Avoid Alarms

Fear and panic have gripped shopkeepers in Thessaloniki following a series of break-ins by a burglar who has devised a silent method to avoid triggering alarms. This individual has managed to steal significant amounts of money from businesses over the past two weeks. In a video that recently surfaced, the burglar is seen breaking into a barber shop in the Charilaou area during the early hours of Wednesday. By carefully disabling the alarm system, the intruder moves stealthily towards the business’s cash register, steals an undisclosed amount of money, and then flees. According to thessstoday.gr, days prior, the same method was used to break into a gym on Konstantinoupoleos Street. In both cases, the police were alerted and are now using security camera footage to try and identify the perpetrator.
