Thessaloniki: A criminal organization that had set up a scam with fake state letters was dismantled

How much over 1.3m euros he managed to extract, deceiving unsuspecting citizens, a criminal organization that was dislocated in the , “brain” of which he is a 68-year-old, and among its members is a 61-year-old, who had been deposed by a priest in the past. The members of the organization, 61, 68, 51 and 34 years old at the expense of which a relevant case was formed, had set up a plot of counterfeit letters in Thessaloniki, with the loot exceeding 1.3m euros. They are reportedly approaching their unsuspecting victims and managed to convince them that soon the 68 – year – old priest today will grow into the Church and they could benefit from this growth. As stated in a communication from the EL.A. on the case, the two men displayed fake letters written by the 68-year-old, where they seemed to be senders – editors of religious organizations and state agencies, in order to convince their victims. According to an announcement issued by the Greek Police, the two men managed to deceive at least 6 people. The Police investigation also revealed that the money was transferred to accounts of the 61-year-old, and the transfer of funds to other persons, including two men 51 and 34 years old, whose data have been identified was also found.
