In an astonishing incident in Thessaloniki, a 61-year-old man was arrested after dragging a court officer with his car in an attempt to evade arrest. The shocking event took place on Tuesday morning, March 4th, in the Panorama area of Thessaloniki. The court officer had arrived to execute a final court decision regarding the man’s three-month imprisonment following a previous conviction. As the officer approached the suspect’s home, the man fled into his car and accelerated rapidly in an effort to thwart the execution of the court order. During this reckless act, he dragged and injured the court officer before driving off towards Kalamaria. Eventually, the vehicle was immobilized. In addition to injuring the court officer, the man also caused a traffic accident resulting in material damage. Charges against him include violence against public employees, dangerous driving, grievous bodily harm, threats, and insults.
