A 44-year-old man died this morning (01.02.2026) in Thessaloniki following a car accident on the Thessaloniki–Chalkidona National Highway. The crash occurred shortly after 11:00 a.m. at the 14th km mark, when the man’s vehicle veered off course and struck metal barriers. The impact was so severe that the driver was ejected from his seat and landed on the road in front of his car, where he succumbed to his injuries.
