Thessaloniki: 32-year-old conviction for revenge porn against his former partner

For a 32-year-old for , threats and abuses against his former partner he was sentenced to a 32-year-old on Tuesday (04.02.2025). The decision of the One-Member Defect court in Thessaloniki leads the 32-year-old to prison for revenge porn against his friend. CORVERSE The man had turned her life into “a nightmare”, as after their separation she leaked photographs with their personal moments, threatened and cursed her and her family, while causing damage to her mother’s car. The Court sentenced him to a total prison sentence of 4 years and 9 months, while, in view of his previous convictions for similar acts against the girl, the appeal decided not to have suspended the sentence. Unlike previous courts, the 32-year-old this time did not appear at the trial and was convicted in absentia. Under these circumstances he is now considered a fugitive and if he is identified by the police he will be arrested to serve the (new) sentence imposed on him. CORVERSE “Our acquaintance evolved into a nightmare” Depositing in court, the 26-year-old (now) woman described what she experienced after asking him to divorce. “Our acquaintance evolved into a nightmare. It was a three-month relationship, amid quarantine that became Calvary,” he said, bursting into sobbing, while saying he has sued the accused repeatedly for various incidents. “The first time I told him to break up he took a gun, put it under his jaw and threatened to kill himself. I tried to be nice to him. Then she began to become violent, threatening and swearing to me,” she added, stressing that when she asked to break up permanently she started threatening her and terrorizing her by calling her constantly on the phone (she might have called 300 times a day!), while asking her father for 40,000 euros so that she would not leak photographs with their personal moments. “I cannot imagine that in the 21st century we risk four people. We live permanently under the regime of fear,” she said, considered by the court.
