In a recent interview with ERT on Thursday, April 24, Interior Minister Theodoros Livaniotis announced that the platform for citizens to evaluate public services will open next week. Approximately five million residents of Greece registered in the National Communication Registry will be able to answer around 40-50 questions regarding various public services. These include central government services like EFKA, DYPA, and AADE, digital services through gov.gr, sports tickets, and local governance responsibilities such as cleanliness, green spaces, and playground conditions. Citizens can securely assess these services via their computers using unique login codes to ensure each individual votes only once. The data collected will be publicly accessible, providing valuable insights for local authorities to address citizen-identified issues. This evaluation process will occur twice annually during April-May and October-November periods, lasting about two weeks each time. The results will offer comparative data to track service improvements over time. The initiative aims to identify reasons behind unsatisfactory ratings and empower municipalities to enhance services accordingly. Additionally, internal evaluations of public employees have improved significantly in recent years, utilizing artificial intelligence tools to ensure fair assessments.
