Renowned lawyer Themis Sophos has issued a strong rebuttal to comments made by Michalis Dimitrakopoulos, who now represents Petros Philippidis. The controversy arose during yesterday’s trial when the defense attorney for the accused actor requested the disqualification of a member of the Mixed Sworn Court due to close family ties with Sophos, the former legal counsel of Mr. Philippidis. According to Dimitrakopoulos, Sophos is privy to sensitive details about the case as he drafted Philippidis’s defense memoranda and possesses ‘inside secrets.’ In response, the judge dismissed the disqualification request, stating that there was no valid reason for recusal. Sophos emphasized that client information remains confidential and will not be disclosed, labeling Dimitrakopoulos’s accusations as unethical and baseless. Speaking on Alpha TV’s ‘Super Katerina,’ Sophos remarked that any knowledge he holds about his clients will remain undisclosed until his death. He added that the conflict lies between himself and the truth, not with him personally. Despite the heated exchange, reports suggest Sophos does not intend to file a complaint against Dimitrakopoulos.
