Themis Bazaka: ‘I Have Traversed a Life Full of Obstacles’

In an interview, Themis Bazaka stated, “I am not one of those actors who want to die on stage.” Speaking on the Buongiorno show from MEGA, Bazaka discussed her life journey, relationships, solitude, and how the internet has negatively impacted human communication. “There are many reasons why relationships have become very solitary, one being the internet. Secondly, people’s economic conditions where they don’t want to get entangled in making families or having children; they prefer their independence. There is a fear of commitment and a fear of real love because true love requires work,” she declared. “I have the strength to survive. I’ve lived through a life full of obstacles. I built a life as I desired. I’ve made plenty of mistakes but also done wonderful things. My strength has always been my love for life; life comes first, then theater. I’m not among those actors who wish to die on stage,” she confessed. She added, “We all have infinite respect for Xenia Kalogeropoulou for what she has given to Greek theater and children’s theater, considering her age, mind, and intelligence. Respect. I do my job well, something everyone should strive for.”
