This year’s price is giving them a boost, which has now reached historically low in Europe. Indicative is that photovoltaic modules fell last month for the first time below the limit of 6 minutes per watt. This means in practice that someone who wants to install a 10 kilowatt photovoltaic roof will pay only 600 euros for the system plus any other equipment and installation costs. Clearly, the lure is great for small and large investors who are quick to implement projects, depending on their limited network availability. The latest data from the GOPT indicate that in our country in September 178 MW of photovoltaics were added, with their total now reaching 8,120 MW. All together the RES first exceeded the 14,000 MW barrier. They preceded in the summer successive months with a record of photovoltaic installations, which shows that they continue dynamically as the dominant renewable technology in our mix. This may change from now on, as RIS has set the priority to stimulate wind so that the mixture can balance and acquire more quality production characteristics. Windings this year have a rather bad year while in September they did not add a new megawatt. It remains to be seen how the wind pushes, with the information showing a change in the priorities for connecting RES to favour them. The relevant decisions are expected within the next months by the ministry.
The wave of photovoltaics in Greece continues with a boost from their low prices
